Concept
“If I would have listened, if I would have understood diabetes like I understood music, maybe these things wouldn’t have happened”. Marvin Isley, interview at Atlanta Journal-Constitution (2001).
TuneUp is an application for mobile devices that helps diabetic teenagers with the technical and emotional management of their condition by creating a sound image which represents collected glucose data.
In contemporary scenario marked by emerging trends in health technology and a futuristic vision in which doctors could prescribe not just drugs but apps as well [1], TuneUp proposes itself as a means, based on interaction methodology, to the management of a chronic disease, such as diabetes, in order to educate and improve, in therapeutic and psychological terms, the life experience of the user.
